On February 23rd 2019, 12 year old Marlee Pack passed away from cancer. She fought bravely for 4 years, never wavering, never feeling sorry for herself, always inspiring goodness in others. When offered a “Wish” through the Make A Wish Foundation, Marlee wished to provide build-a-bears for other kids that were fighting cancer. Her stuffed animals comforted her and she believed that ALL kids going through cancer deserved that kind of comfort.
Marlee’s impact did not stop there. She had to participate virtually in her grade school graduation because she was too “weak” to fly. When asked to speak, her “weakness” became the strength of the room. Her message, borrowed from a local small business, was simple: “Be a good person.” THAT message, delivered by THIS remarkable child, became an inspiration for many.
Redline Athletics – Westminster provides a unique pathway for children to become better people – body and soul. At Redline, kids receive personalized instruction from educated, dedicated coaches, using proven techniques that ensure long term advancements in health, fitness, confidence, and positive self-esteem. Regrettably, this level of focus and attention isn’t affordable for all kids. Some kids need help, because ALL kids deserve this kind of attention.
Inspired by Marlee, the Inspire Foundation has been founded as a stand-alone Colorado 501c3. The board is comprised of current Redline parents, with full support from Redline Athletics - Westminster. Our purpose is to raise and award scholarships to local children who could not otherwise participate in Redline Athletics – Westminster programs. Enough seed money has been raised to allow us to begin offering scholarships this spring. More details and applications are available at the front desk at Redline Athletics – Westminster. And of course, if you feel inspired to join this cause, we welcome your participation!
